An app password, not a login
Bluesky does not use an OAuth sign-in. Instead you create an app password in Bluesky and give it to the brand's connection. Your main Bluesky password is never needed and never asked for.
Connecting
- In Bluesky, open Settings → Privacy and Security → App Passwords and create one named for this app.
- In the brand's Connections, enter the Bluesky handle and the app password, then press Connect.
The app password is stored encrypted, as are the session tokens it produces. Revoking the app password in Bluesky ends the connection; the tile shows Reconnect the next time the daily check runs.
What the connection does
Publishes text and image posts to the account, and reads post results from Bluesky's public feed for analytics.
